I was on the phone with Bell yesterday trying to get my outrageous cell phone bill under control. (See Previous Blog Entry)

I called customer service and explained everything and they said they couldn't switch me back to my old evenings-start-at-6pm plan because it doesn't exist anymore. I found that hard to believe since I was on it until I bought my new phone. I bet they'd just need to do something a little non-standard to get that back. Anyways they offered to give me the new 6pm plan, which is $5 more! but luckily agreed to waive my message centre for 2 years to make up for it. I came out on top by an extra dollar a month (until my 2 year term is up, then gouge-city). Hopefully the CRTC will have decreed that you can keep your number when switching carriers by then, and then the carriers might be a little more competitive since they wouldn't be able to hold your number hostage anymore.

I received my 4 DVDs from Zip.ca yesterday, that was 1 business day from the day they were sent (as I ordered them the night before that). I shipped one back to them in todays mail, so we'll see how long that takes to get there.

I started watching Six Feet Under, with Trish and Vicki. It's not bad so far. But it better get better!

There was a party at my home on Saturday, partially to celebrate Amanda's Birthday. It turned into a poker party so I decided to pop out to attend the one year anniversary of the Salt Lounge. I ate only atkins friendly food while I was there and was surprised at how much I could have. (Veggies/Dip, Cheese and strawberries!). There was some people from the CIBC there that I was chatting with, otherwise I would have been back to the party a lot sooner. I had a bit to drink by this point, so hopefully I didn't make an ass out of myself like I usually do while drunk. I tried to enter another bar that night but walked away when they demanded I stand in a certain place while the jerk bouncer checked my ID. I tried to go back a 2nd time (after they knew how old I was), but they insisted I stand in a certain place. I was argumentative and ended up getting in some arguments with 4 people in total. I was outraged at how poorly I was treated.

Opening Night at the Grand Theatre

I attended opening night at the Grand Theatre with Mark on Friday. They rolled out the red carpet and had a band playing for the people entering, along with tuxedo'd doormen with top hats and white gloves. The Mayor was in the foyer and I stopped right next to her and said "Oh, it's the Mayor" to her, she replied with some welcoming statement. I shook her hand and said "Good Job". I was a little embarrased due to my slightly underdressed outfit and crazy comments.
The play "Tuesdays With Morrie" (also opening night) was not bad, it receieved a standing ovation. There was a post-production party afterwards with hor'derves, so I had to run outta there fast before I broke my diet.
